If you’ve been to Disney lately, then you know one of the parental badges you come home with is a watch tan on each wrist. One is from your smartwatch that tells you that you walked 28,000 steps, helping you understand why your kids are total hot messes by the end of the day. The one on the other wrist is the Magicband that gets you onto the rides.
Some people might want to wear the two tan lines with pride back at home. But if you would prefer to keep both on one arm, there is a great cheap solution for this. The Magicband 2 watch slider lets you put the puck from the Magicband on your watch strap.
To be clear, I’m not getting any compensation from these people, I just wish I had thought of it first, and thought about it before our recent trip…

All of the “Magic” in a Magicband is in the little RFID puck in the center of the band. With the turn of a couple jewelry sized screws you can pop it out, and snap it into this watch slider.

At $6.99 it’s a drop in the bucket compared to what you will spend at Disney. In a few weeks I’m heading to Orlando to get a few days of warm weather while my wife is at a conference there. Since I’m still a big kid at heart, I’m going to get up at an obscenely early hour and go to Star Wars land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Looking forward to trying out my Magicband Slider in person!

Check out their website here, and as they say at Disney, “Have a magical day…”
